- FAQ
Straight answers to the questions we hear most.
If something isn’t covered here, just ask — we reply within one business day.
How does pricing work?
We work on a flat monthly retainer with a 3-month minimum, then month-to-month. Pricing depends on scope, category difficulty and the volume of shows you want in pipeline. We share exact numbers on the intro call.
Do you guarantee bookings?
No agency that pitches podcasts ethically can guarantee specific shows — hosts make their own decisions. What we do guarantee is process: senior-level outreach, weekly reporting, and a minimum activity commitment every month.
How long does outreach take to produce results?
First replies typically land in 1–2 weeks, first confirmed interviews in 3–5 weeks. Momentum compounds from month two as relationships build.
Do you contact podcast hosts manually?
Yes. You see the shortlist and approve every show. Nothing goes out without your sign-off.
How do you choose which podcasts to pitch?
We shortlist based on audience fit, host style, download quality, past guests, category alignment and your stated goals — not just chart position.
Can I approve every podcast before you pitch it?
Yes. Every pitch is written by a person, referencing recent episodes and a specific angle for you. We do not use AI matching platforms or automated blasts.
Do I pay for the outreach itself, or only bookings?
You pay for the ongoing outreach engine — research, positioning, pitching, follow-up, scheduling and reporting. This is what separates real agencies from lead-gen resellers.
Do you create the media kit for me?
We help you shape and finalize a concise, host-ready media kit — bio, signature angles, sample questions, past appearances and links.
What kind of guests do you work with?
Founders, CEOs, authors, coaches, consultants, doctors, lawyers, agency owners and personal brands with a real point of view and a real audience to serve.
Do I need previous podcast experience?
Not required — but you should be comfortable speaking. If you've done interviews before, great; if not, we help you prep.
How many podcasts will I get booked on?
Depends on category, goals and your available recording time. Typical clients see 2–4 confirmed interviews per month after ramp-up.
What happens after an interview is booked?
You get a detailed prep brief with host background, audience notes, sample questions and suggested talking points, plus scheduling handled end-to-end.
Do you help with follow-up after the show airs?
Yes. We coordinate with the host on release, share clips distribution guidance, and keep the relationship warm for repeat opportunities.
What if I don't like a podcast you shortlist?
Just say so — we take it off the list. Your approval is the only filter that matters.
Can you help with international or non-English podcasts?
Our core focus is English-language shows across US, UK, Canada and Australia. Other markets on request.
Do you work with early-stage startups?
Yes, if you have a story worth telling and clear positioning. If you're pre-story, we may recommend positioning work first.
How is NextPodcastGuest different from AI matching platforms?
Those platforms sell scale — inbound requests to hosts drowning in noise. We sell craft — personal outreach that actually gets read and booked. See the Human vs AI page for a side-by-side.
What's the minimum commitment?
Three months, then month-to-month. Podcast outreach is a relationship game — one month is not enough to see momentum.
Who will I be working with?
You'll have a senior lead as your direct point of contact, plus a research and outreach team. No junior handoffs.
How do I get started?
Book a free consultation. If we're a fit, we send a proposal; if we're not, we'll point you somewhere better. No hard sell.
